In this paper, the inorganic scintillating crystal was probed. The excellent feature of the crystal such as little decay constant ( 3ns ) ,more radiaton hardness (107rad),high density (7.57g/cm3),small radiation length(0.98cm) and it's home and overseas developing status and future applications.We also research the luminescence mechanism of scintillators,analyze the process how the ignorganic scintillating crystal record the particals,luminescence condition and scattering mechanism. Besides,we adopt the czochralski method to growth crystal and research the optimal growing condition.In the end, the optimal condition was presented as follows: the temperature diffidence in the range of 10mm under the surface is 0.8℃/mm. Temperature gradient in diameter should be little, pulling rate 2-4mm/h, rotating rate 12-18r/min,colling rate 35℃/h, and cooling rate should less than 60℃/h, otherwise, the crystal could crack. In this experiment,we analyze the reason that the crystal constitutional supercocling and crack. We solve this problem via raise the position of crucible to increase temperature of gradient and anneal constant. Finally,the high quality NBW crystal of 50 mm in diameter and 35mm in length was generated at first time hi the country. We also prompt some primary research that replace the Bi with Y and adulterate Nd3+ in NBW crystal. Then the results were probed relativly.
