| Air pollution problem, especially the atmosphere pollution problem contributed to the mass emissions from the vehicles, is more and more serious with the continually increasing in automobiles' number. Almost all kinds of methods applied inside or outside the engine, are been widely researched. Recent years, the method that use high voltage pulse corona to purify poisonous gas is widely attached importance all over the world. The method put forward in this dissertation to removing and purifying the exhaust gas from the engine using the high voltage pulse corona provide us a new method to the problem.The dissertation investigates the mechanism of the high voltage pulse corona plasma discharge through the application of the Townsend Theory and the Streamer Theory, and the mechanism of the high voltage pulse corona removing and purifying the main poisonous components in exhaust gas, including soot, carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx), sulfur oxide (SO2). Through the experiments, the dissertation investigates the conversion rules of the cleaning dust in the pulse corona, with the changing of the experiment conditions including the pulse voltage and the pulse frequency. The experiments record the real time data and the curves in the reactions to purify the main poisonous components in the exhaust gas using the high voltage pulse corona. And through the analysis of the data and curves, the rules of the removing and purifying the poisonous components in the gas using the high voltage pulse corona and the experiment conditions' impact on purifying efficiency, including the pulse voltage, pulse frequency, wind speed and the preliminary concentration, are investigated. The deeper research on the reaction of the NO in the field of pulse corona, and the main production NO2, creation rules according to experiment conditions, including the voltage, frequency, wind speed and so on are made. At the same time, the conversion phenomena of the CO, SO2, and the hydroxide in the experiments are logically interpreted.Through the experiment of the high voltage pulse corona discharge purifying exhaust gas and the analysis on the experiment outcomes, the main conclusions are as follows:1. The result of the removing soot using high voltage pulse corona discharge is ideal, and above 90% removing rate can be obtained.2. The high voltage pulse corona discharge can bring forth the purifying results on NO. The purifying rate is affected by pulse voltage, pulse frequency, wind speed and thepreliminary concentration of the gas, and under our experiment conditions about 50% purifying rate can be obtained.3. The main outcome of the NO in the field of pulse corona is NO2.4. The pulse corona can deal with the fuel in the exhaust gas, which does not completely combust, lower the venting amounts of the hydroxide, and the reaction outcomes some amounts of CO and SO2, but the rules of the reaction need to be researched further. |
