Studies On The Synthesis Of N-alkyl Phosphonic Acids And Their Complexes And Corrosion Inhibition For A₃ Steel

This thesis reported the synthesis of N-alkyl phosphonic acids and their complexes by using the reaction of methyl aldehyde, amine and phosphorus acid. The probable structure of the complexes were identified by IR and ESR. This thesis also reported the synthesis of sixteen new N-alkyl- a -amino phosphonic acids by one-pot reaction of aromatic aldehyde, aromatic amine and phosphorus acid in the presence of hexamethylphosphoramide as a medium.All compounds were identified by IR,, NMR and element analysis. Corrosion inhibition capacity of these target compounds to AS steel were investigated by the method of loss weight.Moreover, we discussed the effect of corrosion on the structure and the composition of compounds concentration and pH of the solution.Target Compounds:...
