On-line inspection for machining center is one of the key technologies to improve precision and automation of machining center and one of the indiscerptible parts of the Quality Assurance system of Computer integrated manufacturing system-CIMS. On the foundation of the current development of On-line inspecting technology and the new development of computer aided design part feature model and computer simulation On-line inspecting technology is studied here based on the teaching idea.1. The Application of part geometry feature model on the designing and production is analyzed synthetically and based on it, Inspecting process is integrated with the part geometry feature and the basic idea of part teaching is established.2. The part in the manufacturing process is analyzed wholly. The labeling principle to parts and the dada expressing manner of part geometry model are established, by virtue of them, the Multi -feature system-MFS inspecting model of part suiting for inspecting is accomplished.3. According to the inspected features of MFS model of part in the paper, inspecting path layout is accomplished and then the inspecting program for whole part accomplished by calling the relevant Macro program.4. On the analysis of the inspecting program of part, the simulation of inspected part and the inspecting program is got by the OpenGL graph technology.5. The online inspection for machining center based on teaching is designed, the on-line inspecting and auto programming system integrated with teaching, path layout, parameter output and simulation is established by the analysis of the inspecting process of part.
