The industry and market condition of methanol was introduced simply in this article, and the preparation progress of methanol between industrialized with the new type all over the world was compared. Through introducing a supercritical fluid into the conventional methanol synthesis process, a supercritical phase methanol technology has been developed. This new process can better solve the problem of reaction heat removing from catalyst bed and thermodynamic equilibrium limit .As the reaction and separation are at the same time, the one-through conversion of syngas can be over 90%.Based on the simulation experiment we carried out ploit experiment, catalyzed by MK101 catalyst, Use syngas containing N2 and reform syngas as raw material gas, investigated raw material gas space velocity and solvent flux affect to the CO one-through conversion and space-time yield of methanol. Results show that when experiments were carried out using cheap syngas as raw material gas react at reaction temperature 220 , total pressure 8.5MPa,solvent flux 301/h, raw material space velocity 4000h-1, and when experiment were carried out using reform syngas as raw material react at reaction temperature 220 , total pressure 8.5MPa,solvent flux 301/h,raw material space velocity 3000h-1, the space-time yield of methanol and the one-through conversion of CO have a best value, the one-through conversion of CO can be over 90% and the space-time yield of methanol may be more than 0.55g/g.cat.h..
