Biological nitrogen removal always absorbs people's eyes. Especially, nitrogen removal of rich ammonium contained water and low ratio C/N water were troubling people. Recently several processes, such as Anammox, OLAND et al, resolved this problem. But due to the bacteria mainly duty for these systems are very difficult to cultivated, these processes are not easy to apply full-scale plant. This book focused on finding a simple method of how to select Anammox-bacteria from natural environments, and aimed at developing an economic and effective reactor or method for accumulating Anammox-bacteria. Synthetic wastewater was used in this study.According to the experiments of selecting the specifically microorganisms from normal sludge in different condition, it was showed that Anammox-bacteria could be selected from anaerobic and aerobic inoculated sludge,and use anaerobic selection or aerobic selection. But at anaerobic selection condition, the sludge dealing with beer-wastewater was best for selecting Anammox-bacteria with the optimal operation of pH 8 and 35oC. It took 67 days. And the time of aerobic selection is shorter one month than anaerobic selection's,only 20 days.The experiment of Anammox-bacteria accumulation supported that different styles of influent and loads would effect the Anammox-bacteria cultivation. The test indicated that at the initial time of Anammox-bacteria cultivated and under the same TN load at 0.014kgN/m3(d, operation with influencing was better for the microorganisms cultivated, and larger hydraulic load was also propitious to bacteria growing. The shortest time of arrived anammox process is 180 days in this test. In the whole experiments, the biggest TN load of 0.1kgN/m3(d was arrived, and the removal rate of ammonium and nitrite were both beyond 90%.The reaction of Anammox in system was studied in this word. And some suggestions for further study were also given.
