Study On The Stress In Coal Mine

Stress is a concept which is fundamental to rock mechanics principles and applications. It is a necessary condition of analysis rock stability, engineering design and execution.We need to understand it , both directly and as the stress state applies to analysis and design. In past time traditional underground mining was taken just according to experience, seldom considering stress. For this reason, the issues study and analysis in mining stress contents, stress measurement methods, stress distribution and stress influences on mining. After analysising and compareing with other stress measurement methods, the author thinks that stress relief method is priorityly selected in coal mine. According to the result of mining stress measurement, the paper analysis the distribution regularity of mining stress and put forward that the maximum principal virginal stress in coal mine is horizontal stress and induce stress in coal mine must be measured underground. The issues also make study in maximum horzontal stress influence on mining and analysis the relationgship between derection of the maximum horzontal stress and roadway developing .
