Modern industry's requirement to the resistance spot-welding joint's quality is becoming more and more stricter, so more accurate control method is required for the process and quality of the spot-welding so as to promote the reliability of spot-welding joint. In this paper, aiming at the low control precision of the traditional spot-welding controller, the fuzzy logic control technology is applied to the resistance spot-welding. The method to take use of spot welding invariable current fuzzy control is introduced to realize the real-time control to the current during the spot-welding control process, so a spot-welding controller based on fuzzy logic is designed to realize the collection of the welding current and the fuzzy control calculation.Firstly, the principle of spot welding invariable current control based on fuzzy logic, the fuzzy controller, the choice of control algorithm and the principle of the point-by-point integration of welding current are introduced. Secondly, the method and process of the design of fuzzy controller in which welding current error and the changing rate of welding current error is used as fuzzy inputs, and the increment of the controlling angle of SCR as fuzzy output. And the hardware system taking 80C196KC single micro-computer as core, input channel, output channel, keyboard display, alarming circuit are analysed in detail. Trie design idea of the controlling system software, the main program, data processing program, fuzzy controlling program and the system anti-measures are introduced systematically. At last, the difficulties occurred in the system debugging and the simulation result of current testing channel are analysed.
