| The acrylic copolymeric emulsion had been used widely in the field of coatings and adhesive. On the other hand, the acrylic copolymeric emulsion had some shortcomings such as bad temperature adapt property and organic solvent resistibility. Therefore organosilicon modified acrylic latex was carried out for better film propertys and mechanical propertys.Studies on the synthesis and characterization of organosilicon modified acrylic latex were synthesized by conventional emulsion of copolymerization of MMA, BA, AA with vinyltrlethoxysilane (VTES). The Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and FI-IR are used for characterize the VTES-acrylate copolymerization latices. The result indicated that the silicone-acrylic latex which were prepared by seeding polymerization and semi-continue (40% core-monomer as seed) process had good stabilities of polymerization and storage. The hydrolysis-condensation of siloxane in polymerization can unprove the water absorption and mechanical properties of the latex film. The studies on hybrid of surface treated nanosize silicon dioxide with silicone-acrylic latex were carried out incidentally. The polymer recipe, polymerization dynamics and the effect of manipulation method were discussed thoroughly. And paper-plastic adhesive based on the silicone-acrylate copolymeric emulsion was prepared which possessed excellent film properties and volatile organic solvent was almost zero. The organosilicon modified acrylic latex were synthesized by miniemulsion and charactered by Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and FI-IR was studied. The results indicated that the stabilities of polymerization of mini-latex was evidently improved. The amount of agglomeration of miniemulsion was the half of the conventional emulsion, when VTES content was 15% of the total monomers. |
