| Cyclone preheater and precalciner is the kernel of the new type dry-process kiln system. The government has constituted the stratagem and policy to develop cement industry led by the new type dry-process kiln technology. It's import to know more about the pivotal factors when cement factories begin to modify the equipment gradually. Cold model test is used to find out these factors without hard working condition. This paper discusses a cold model test of 2500t/d fives stages Cyclone preheater and the theoretics for the following experiment and the system simulationThis experiment based on the theory of dynamics similitude from the view of the whole system model, not on individual model. Different structures were designed to get more result on different conditions. Valued data was harvested after serious measure. Then the paper analyzes the data on three main aspect: dynamics trait, velocity fluid field and gas-solid separating. Dynamics trait include the ratio of resistance and the resistance coefficient; The result comes out from the data of collection efficiency in system, C1, C5. The analysis of fluid flow is to draw the graph of tangential velocity and axial velocity for intuitionistic flow performance.Study preheater and precalciner needs computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which is some non- linear partial differential equations that was based on the laws of conservation of quality, momentum and energy and fluid dynamics and thermodynamic equations. The method to get the solution of these different form equations is include numerical compute, finite element analytical method and so on.Simulation of flow field aims to draw flow trace lines through CFD, numerical compute and simulation knowledge. It needs rather more compute, familiarity about physical and mathematical model, correct selection of arithmetic than dispose of image. This method is direction to analyze the complicated and invisible flow problem with the development of hardware and arithmetic.
