This thesis consists of four parts as follows: Part I: ReviewThe purpose of the present review is to summarize the organic chemistry of polyvalent iodine compounds regarded as Chlorides, Fluorides, Oxidize reagents in the field of organic synthesis, especially focus on their synthetic application and space structure, there are lots of reaction examples to illustrate the incomparable merits of organic polyvalent iodine compounds in the synthesis of some drugs and natural products.Part II: The synthesis and the characterizing of the polymer-supported prevalent iodine compounds.Methylsulfonic aster type, trifloacitic ester type and p-toluenesulfonic ester type polymer-supported prevalent iodine compounds were synthesized, and their structures were characterized by means of IR. Especially it was evaluated the different synthesis processes according to the synthesis facility, the bonds' strength and polymer loading activity, meanwhile the optimum synthesis conditions were investigated as follows, oxidation system: MeSO3H/Bu4NHSO5; Bu4NHSO5:loading of polymer =8:1; room temperature.Part III: The oxidation of alcohols by polymer-supported prevalent iodine compounds. First, the loading activity of polymers were tested, and the best oxidation reaction conditions were investigated as follows, solvent: CH2Cl2 room temperature, the ratio of substrate to loading activity of polymer is 1:2, reaction time, 6h. From the results of oxidation serials of alcohols it was concluded that polymer-supported prevalent iodine compounds have excellent oxidation activity to substituted benzalcohols, dibenzalcohols , and a special product 4,4-diphenylmethyl was observed via polymer-supported prevalent iodine compounds.Part: IV The synthesis of low molecule weight pervalent iodine compounds and their oxidation activity for alcohols. In order to characterize the structures of polymers and obtain low molecule weight pervalent iodine compounds with better reaction performance, it was used2-iodo-benzoic acid as started material to synthesize three types prevalent iodine reagents, their structures were characterized by means of IR. It was noted that three kinds of low molecule weight pervalent iodine reagents with excellent characteristics as follows: facility synthesis, easy separation; stable in water moisture; insoluble in common solvents, but with good reaction performance. These reagents have shown very excellent oxidation ability for serials of substituted Benzalcohols, dibenzalcohols and fatty alcohols under mild reaction conditions, a special product a -hydroxy benzophenone was observed via polymer-supported prevalent iodine compounds.
