This paper regards gear hobs of hard alloy of angle before shouldering as the research object. At the geometry parameters of hobbing cutter, tooth shape design, regrinding the precision of shape of tooth and standards etc. respects, have carried on extensive and deep research. Propose the design method of small diameter and extend length hard alloy relief grinding gear hobs. Its innovation is clicked and lain in: In geometry parameter of the hobbing cutter, the diameter of reducing the hobbing cutter can improve wrap up the speed of the hobbing cutter and the gear wheel and shorten time of cut in and cut out, extend length of hobbing cutter can improve the service life of the hobbing cutter, and design considerations have appeared; Design the respect in the tooth shape, introduce the shaping law of a pair of parameters in the shape design of tooth of hobbing cutter; In regrinding the precision of shape of tooth, changing the distance of leaning towards properly can improve regrinding the precision, increase regrinding the number of times, lengthen the service life of the hobbing cutter.
