Rare-earth ion activate calcium sulfide has excellent luminescent property, it is important assistant agents of plastic film, which named light conversion agent(LCA) . Large-scale particles of CaS:Eu2+ can not dispersion well in PE film and it is hydrolysis in ambient. Eu4PMA3 can convert ultraviolet into red effectively, but it is decomposed in sunlight. Therefore, synthesis small-scale CaS:Eu2+ and modify surface of inorganic/organic LCA are important problems resolved.Thereby we studied as follows: Finding out a method of synthesis CaS:Eu2+; Synthesis organic LCA with excellent luminescence property and surface modification will be researched; The inorganic and organic LCA will be hybrid and modified.The investigation results as follows:1 The CaS:Eu2+ phosphors were synthesized by microwave radiation. Compared to the traditional high temperature solid reaction* it showed many superiority, such as rapid reaction, micro-scale crystalline, higher efficient luminescence and narrow granularity distribution.2 The CaS:Eu2+ particles coated with Silicone (RI-Si) were prepared by aggrading polymer to phosphor surface. Luminescence intensity and weather resistant were characterized and the best coating was about 7 wt.%. CaS:Eu2+ coated and uncoated in moist air (average humidity, 90%) for thirty-five days showed the luminescence intensity of CaS:Eu2+ coated by silicone was higher 30% than uncoated.3 An investigation is studied on the coating of CaS:Eu2+with a thin layer of SiO2 by different processes. The experiments showed the better effect was gained when CaS:Eu2+ coated with silicon dioxide by hydrolysis of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) when hydrochloric acid as catalyst not ammonia. The optical property was not changed of CaS:Eu2+ coated and uncoated. In moist air (average humidity, 90%) for forty days showed the luminescence intensity of CaS:Eu2+ coated by silicon dioxide was higher 43% than uncoated .4 The surface modification of CaS:Eu2+ particles with silane coupling agent, which was pre-coated with silicon oxide was studied. The surface property was changed from hydrophily to hydrophobicity. Activiation index of the modified is 98.7% and the unmodified is zero, which suggested that the modified particles' hydrophobicity and dispersion were improved in PE resin.5 Pyromellitic acid-Eu3+ complexes were synthesized by Sol-gel method with doping. The emission apex is 641 run lies red region. It's luminescence intensity and weather-resistant were improved when EiLjPMAs was coated with silicon dioxide.Think about the synthesis and surface modification of Inorganic and organic LCA, inorganic/organic hybrids material was synthesized and coated. The efficiency conversion sunlight (convert ultraviolet into red and convert green into red) was improved greatly. It showed good conversion effective, weather-resistant and dispersion.
