In order to obtain nitrogenous steel, a kind of nitrogenous alloy is demanded. This thesis introduces the technologic theory and method of MnN production, which processes electrolytic manganese powder with solid-nitration process at lab. The technology is to obtain MnN production by nitride electrolytic manganese powder through pure nitrogen (≥99.99%) and nitrogen decomposed by ammonia under high temperature.Suitable nitration technic parameters have been obtained through experiments: firstly, by nitrogen process with pure nitrogen. MnN production that nitrogen content is 6.94% has been obtained under the condition that manganese powder size is 600 urn, nitriding temperature is 700℃ and nitriding time is 4 hours. Secondly, by nitrogen process with ammonia, MnN production that nitrogen content is 6.88% has been obtained under the condition that size is 400 um, temperature is 700℃ and time is 8 hours. In addition, three alloys composed manganese nitrogen (Mn3N2, Mn2N, Mr4N) have been obtained and their distribution was observed by the way of XRD and SEM.The thesis introduces the current research situation of MnN, technological theory of nitrogen process, experimental feasibility, equipments and process, effective factors, MnN structure, chemical analytical method and economic benefit brought by mass production in detail.
