In this paper , we prepared 110x80mm Ti:Al2O3 crystal (11 stone) bydirectional temperature gradient technique (DTGT) , choosed its top , middle part and bottom , and fabricated powder samples with carnelian mortar . Then we observed and analyzed the surface of Ti stone by using SEM , and found it is Ti that is the main component of the black thing on the surface of Ti stone . Through the Rietveld method of whole pattern fitting of the three parts , we found that the distribution of Ti ions in the crystal increase from the bottom to the top . Moreover , we got the accurate figure of the crystal structure of Ti stone through the Rietveld method.In use of solid state reaction , we fabricated series of ceramics , of which component were qualitatively analyzed through infrared spectroscopy and X-raypowder diffraction . It turned out that the samples of No.3-No.6 have new phase ,MgAlzO4 . We continued to use the Rietveld method of whole pattern fitting of the X-ray powder diffraction data , then found that additive MgO may bring the crystal thinning of Al2O3 ceramics , which can improve many properties of ceramic materials . Meanwhile , we discussed the operation mechanism of the crystal thinning.By using the method of burning , we fabricated the ceramic powder of Al2O3 , and discussed the effect of Mole percentage of metal ions and urea on forming phases of Al2O3. We calculated the X-ray powder diffraction by Scherrer formula , and we thought that the ceramic powder reaches nano order.
