The ion-selective electrode has simple structure, simple handle, which can rapidly determine sample continuously. And it doesn't determine concentration of ion, but activity of ion, this is very important in environment analysis. Design, synthsis and application of highly selective and sensitive neutral carriers are main research subjects in the ion-selective electrode studies. Recently, study on ion-selective electrodes with anti-Hofmeister selectivity pattern is an important and interesting project in the fields of electrochemistry and electroanalytical chemistry. This thesis focuses on seeking design and synthsis of novel metallic complexes and basic studies on solvent polymeric membrane(SPM) anion-selective electrodes containing the novel metallic complexes. The electrodes can be applied to waste water and medicine sample analysis. This main contents and some conclusions of the thesis are as follows:1. Studies on bis-bebzoin-semitriethylenetetraamine binuclear cobalt(II), copper(II) , manganese(II) complexes as neutral carriers for the thiocyanate-selective electrodeBis-bebzoin-semitriethylenetetraamine binuclear cobalt(II), copper(II), manganese(II) are designed and synthesized. We firstly study potentiometric response characteristics of electrodes based on bis-bebzoin-semitriethylenetetraamine binuclear cobalt(II), copper(II), manganese(II) ionophores, The comparison of potentiometric response characteristics between the binuclear and mononuclear complexes was studied, exhibiting that the electrodes based on binuclear complexes demonstratehighly selective response to thiocyanate with wide linear range and low detection limit, and display an anti-Hofmeister seletivity sequence. The electrodes based on bis-bebzoin-semitriethy-lenetetraamine binuclear cobalt(II), copper(II) can be applied to determination thiocyanate of waste water and that is fair agreement with the result given by HPLC method.2. Studies on bis-tribenzyl-methoxide-tin terephthalate metallic complexes as neutral carrier for the preparation of thiocyanate-selective ion electrodeBis-tribenzyl-methoxide-tin terephthalate metallic complexes are designed and synthesised. We firstly study potentiometric response characteristics of electrodes based on bis-tribenzyl-methoxide-tin terephthalate, The electrode based on bis-tribenzyl-methoxide-tin terephthalate exhibits an anti-Hofmeister seletivity sequence with a preferential poteneiometric response to thiocyanate. The potentiometric selectivity coefficients with respect to some common anions are determined by the separated solution method, the selectivity sequence obtained is: SCN->I->OAC->NO2->ClO4->Cl->NO3->SO42-. The electrode can be applied to waste water analysis of the laboratory and that is fair agreement with the result given by HPLC method.3. Studies on o-hydroxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone copper(II) metallic complexes as neutral carrier for preparation of the highly iodide-selective ion electrodeAnion-selective electrodes based on o-hydroxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone copper(II) metallic complexes synthesised as the neutral carriers are described. The electrodes based on o-hydroxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone copper(II) displays an anti-Hofmeister selectivity sequence with a preferential potentiometric response to iodide. The potentiometric selectivity coefficients with respect to some common anions are determined by the separated solution methed, its selectivity sequence is: I> Sal->ClO4->SCN->Cl->NO3->NO2->SO32->H2PO4->SO42-. The electrode can be applied to determine iodide in medicine analysis and the results is fair satisfying.
