In this paper, the cellulose fiber is tackled with the sodium hydroxide of 20% first. Then the cellulose-ether is synthesized by the pretreated cotton cellulose . At last ethylenediamine is grafted to the cellulose-ether. And the ethylenediamine chelating cotton cellulose (ECCC) is made . The principle > the optimizing method and the techniques are introduced. The adsorptive characteristics of ECCC for Cr2O72-, CO32-, OH-, Cl-, Cu2+, Cd2+ of static state and CrO42- of dynamic state are studied. The adsorptive characteristics include adsorption capacity, adsorption dynamics, the isothermal adsorption , the unisothermal adsorption and the adsorption ratio etc.The contents of arsencic (III), chrome (VI), phosphoras (V) and nitrogen ( V) are tested in Funan River and in Dongfeng River. The absorption effects for trace ions PO43- and NO3- is good. The result indicates that ECCC can preferably adsorb certain cation and anion. The speed of adsorption is fast and regeneration is easy. The foreground of application is great of ECCC in sewage disposal and environmental protection.
