Separation process synthesis is a manipulation to deal with mixture that can separate mixture to different output with the minimum capital cost and energy consumption. And it is always used in the pretreatment of material, the purge of product, the purification of product and the disposal of scrap.Methylchlorosilicane separation unit is a difficult separation system because of the tiny difference between the boiling point of the components. In this paper, we investigate the characteristic of the system based on the expansion of the system in a factory. The main work of this paper can be summarized into five points as follows:1.The separating model of methylchlorosilicane is confirmed. The original process is simulated using the simulateor ASPEN PLUS, and is proved useable.2.The methylchlorosilicane separation system is synthesized using predictor based ordered search method. The operational parameters of separation subsystems are calculated using the simulateor ASPEN PLUS , annually expenses of separation subsystems are confirmed using the function which was established by Malone.3. The methylchlorosilicane separation system is synthesized using Coefficient of ease separation method and relative cost function method .4. the three processes are simulated using the simulateor ASPEN PLUS and are comparing with the original process. A optimal separation sequence is ascertained in the base of the result.5. relative cost function is improved in the base of the optimal methylchlorosilicane separation sequence so it can apply to more questions, and it proved more reliability through some examples.
