The Preparation Of Larch Extract Tannin Amphoteric Water Treatment Agent

Preparation of larch extract tannin amphoteric water treatment agent has anionic and cationic group by use of larch extract tannin was studied. This experiment include the chemical synthetic modification of larch extract tannin and the measure of its water treatment properties.The synthesis of larch extract tannin amphoteric water treatment agent was divided into three phases. First, the preparation of the aminom ethylation of tannin using its electrophilic reaction activity of C-6, C-8 in ring-A; then process the quaternization base on the aminom ethylation; last, progress the sulfonation by use of the activity of phenolic hydroxyl hi ring-B. Making the larch extract tannin water treatment agent has amphoteric group by join cationic group to ring-A and anionic group to ring-B.This review studied the synthetic technics of larch extract tannin amphoteric water treatment agent, the primary factors affecting the preparation such as ratio of the raw material, reaction temperation, reaction time and catalyzer were also analyzed, the optimum synthetic technics parameter was found by orthogonal experiment, making a attempt for its realization of industrialized production.In this paper, we analyzed the larch extract tannin, aminom ethylation of larch extract tannin, quaternization of cationic larch extract tannin and amphoteric larch extract tannin (sulfonation of the larch extract tannin quaternary ammonium) by infrared spectral analysis, confirmed the quarternization and sulfonate groups, and measured its water treatment properties such as flocculation, scale inhibition, results showed that quaternization of larch extract tannin and amphoteric larch extract tannin have better water treatment ability, can realize the multifunction.
