Recently, environmental protection has been accepted by more and more people in our country. The importance to study technology of wastewater treatment and prevention has been known by environmental protector due to our short of water resource and the serious institution of wastewater.Swire Cocacola Bev. Ltd. Zhengzhou introduced the wastewater treatment plant (UASB-Aerobic) from abroad, the project invested RMB 8 million in total, equipments mainly imported from Europe, process controlled by computer, the plant operated well and treated water can meet to national 1st standard of drainage since system start-up. For improving the performance of the system, some operation parameters were investigated and optimized in this dissertation. The dissertation mainly consists of 3 aspects. First, study on the application of UASB-Aerobic in treatment of beverage wastewater. Basing on the experiences of operation and design of the system, the run parameter was improved with the remove efficiency of BOD better than 95% and the remove efficiency of COD better than 90%, and the final effluent meet to country 1st standard of drainage. Second, investigation on the application of VFA (Volatile Fatty Acid) in anaerobic wastewater treatment. VFA level in wastewater treatment indicated the condition of anaerobic process. The key factors to affect were investigated and applied. Third, study of anaerobic in wastewater treatment. To feed the nutritional elements as iron and nitrogen to UASB can help to improve the biological activity of reactor, and removing efficiency ranges from about 60%-70% to 80%. The optimal concentrations of the nutritional elements were obtained with iron of l.Omg/1 and nitrogen of 0.02gN/gCOD.
