All of these not only lead to deterioration of environment but also arouse many social problems and even endanger social stability.Based on these problems the paper carried out investigations on groundwater monitoring and treatment and take groundwater contamination in the town of huangxing as the real example. The huangxing town problem at one time is the focus of many media and even attracts the attention of government prime minister. Today all the pollution factories have been closed but the main pollutant-waste residue is still abandoned outdoor without any safety measures. So there is no time to delay to treat these waste residue and contaminated groundwater.The paper started from the hydrological investigation and the contaminated water quality monitoring of the contaminated area. With the help of water quality evaluation the main pollutant was found and its pollution features and utilization were also studied in the third part of the paper. Furthermore in light of the pollutant migration rules a prediction was made w hich can display the pollution extent in the coming 20 years. As far as the wastewater treatment is concerned, hydraulic capture technique can be used in the aquifer purification. After that a series of equipments that contained aeration, filtration and coagulation was designed to treat the water pumped from the aquifer through the designed wells. The paper analyzed the contaminated area that includes contaminant source and victim comprehensively. At the same time the local condition were taken into sufficient account, so the investigation results are genuine and credible.Taking use of groundwater treatment theory in practice sufficiently and accurately is the purpose of the paper and it has been carried out perfectly. Because groundwater contamination problems are popular in our country while its treatment is lacking, the methods and results of the paper have some guide effects and can be used as reference when similar problems occur.
