HPO process which is composed of cyclohexanone preparation, hydroxylamine oximation and cyclohexanone-oxime rearrangement has been applied widely in Caprolactam Industry. The hydroxylamine oximation in such process is key program to prepare the cyclohexanone-oxime and undertake the effectual circulation of inorganic process liquid(IPL) and organic process liquid (OPL).A steady-state simulation model was set up for the hydroxylamine oximation of HPO process for Baling Filiale of China Petro.LTD by using Aspen Plus in this thesis.A simulating design of 50kt/a oximation of hydroxylamine of HPO process based on the data from the introduced design data was set up. According to the practical equipment, the model , the method of simulated calculation and status equation were selected properly; the parameters of some stream needed reflux were reconciled; the essential parameters of some models needed input were defined. By uniting the model of all units, a computer simulated model of the whole process was set up and calibration is carried out for the present 50 kt/a process. The calculation results were well consistent with the factory data, which showed that the models were applicable.By use of the model we carried out successfully a simulating design of 70kt/a process on the new requirement of product ratio and obtained complete process parameters with a much higher accuracy reliability and productivity. The design of 70kt/a HPO process is be carried on by inversed method compared with the 50kt/a HPO process, the whole process is set up from the last process model and then the whole process model is established gradually by the amplification and shrink of the stream parameters . In addition, the results might provide reference to the designing and management personnel when they design or modify this process. ASPEN PLUS was used to simulate and optimize the distillation of toluene and cyclohexanone-oxime in OPL circulation system, by reason that reflux ratio ,the number of stage and feed stage are influencing theefficiency of distillation, they were simulate and optimize. The unit of IPL Purify in IPL circulation system was calculated and analyse . Feed temperature is consequential to effect of extract and vapor flux of reboil is marked to the stripper. Results can be used to research operating regulations and direct actual production operation of the this two units or be applied to improvement of equipment or analysis of the energy saving.
