| Eco-sustainable development viewpoint has been established since 1990s, but the study about it is still in the beginning stages, it is necessary to establish a set of scientific eco-sustainable development evaluating index system and evaluating methods. Based on investigating the situation of ecology in Jixian County and researching into domestic and overseas ecological construction and eco-sustainable development evaluating indexes, with systematic analysis method, this paper establishes the index system of eco-sustainable development evaluating for county region, and by using Analytical Hierarchy Process, the index weight of this index system is also given in this paper. When applying the index system into evaluation of present ecological system in Jixian County, the evaluating results are corresponding to the practicality so it shows that the index system and evaluating method are scientific and practical. Based on the results, this paper analyzes the problem and defect of existed ecological system of Jixian County in the aspects of economy development, environment protection, and society progress. Moreover, this paper points out according to the practicality of Jixian County the focus and direction of eco-sustainable developments in the future .This study provides quantitative method for further study on region eco-sustainable development evaluating, and valuable decision-reference for eco-environment protection and eco-sustainable development in Jixian County in the future.
