The agriculture study has been focused on biocontrol of plant disease for a long time. Isomaltooligosaccharides(shorten for IMO) is a wonderful carrier. It is innocuity and no side-effect, at the same time, it can not be degraded by microorganism, further more, the cost of scale-up fermentation is quit low. Considering all of these, we choose IMO as material. We modified IMO after studying its inhibition and properties for membrane. The result of experimentation is as follows: ClCH2COOH: IMO =4:1,the content of NaOH is 40%, the reaction temperature is 25C,the reaction time is 6h and the content of water is 50%. Later on , we studied the physiological activities of this modified IMO: The moisture-absorption and moisture-retention are increased 93%and 160% respectively; The inhibition to 7 fungi is much in evidence. These fungi can not grow on the membrane of modified IMO at 10%concentrtion, but to Botrytic cinerea , the inhibition effect is higher than 50%;The modified IMO with 0. 79 substitute degree can scavenge oxygen free radical 32. 61%and hydroxyl free radical 39. 63%;Applying to Chinese goosebeery biocontrol, it can inhibit Botrytic disease, improve the fruit' s hardness and prolong the green time. The biocontrol effect can be 75. 5%.
