The Phase Structure Analysis Of Polymer Blends

In chapter one, this paper describes the treads of investigates the structures of polymer and new polymer developments. Importance of recent development of polymer blends and investigating in aggregating structures of polymer blends are discussed. We have discussed the use of SEM and XRMA which researches into morphology and structures of polymer blends and the recent developments of application of SEM and XRMA in polymer science.In chapter two, we presented an X-ray microanalysis of the phase structure of nylon6/nylon66/nylon!010 Terpolyamide/PMMA polymer blends by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray energy dispersive spectrometry with image processing program. And we investigated a way which use potassium to mark the nylon phase. The X-ray maps of K element in the section of the polymer blends were obtained, compared with the morphology of polymer blends. Our work showed that the X-ray energy dispersive spectrometry microanalysis can make certain the phase belongingness of polymer blends qualitatively, and provided a new idea to investigate the phase structure and compatibility of polymer blends.In chapter three, we investigated the compatibility of PsM5/PVC polymer blends with the use of the X-ray energy dispersive spectrometry microanalysis. Our work showed that corrosion method with the X-ray energy dispersive spectrometry microanalysis can make certain the compatibility of polymer blends, and provide an new and accurate analysis method for how to investigate and progress the compatibility of polymer blends. Our work also showed that Ps was intercalated by montmorillonite can progress the compatibility of polymer blends.In chapter four, we investigated the dispersibility of EP/PU which were corroded by ethanol and KMn04 with the use of SEM.
