RuJiGou coal mine in Ningxia is one base that produces high quality TaiXi coal in our country , it had being continued blasting mining since it was built at the 1950's , recent years , with the requirement of coal market and clean coal , it decided to change its mining method from blasting mining to fully mechanical top testing caving derectly after it accepted the elementary demonstration of CCRI about fully mechanical top caving adopted in this coal mine, thus the movement of rock stratum in this coal mine under the certain geology condition becomes a new subject .Under this background , haveing foothold the ground behavior observation in field (about roof movement and deformation of surrounding rock of return airflow roadway) of fully mechanical top caving testing face of RuJiGou coal mine , on the base of summarizing its ground behavior law , the paper analyzed the movement regularity of rock stratum covering the face and the relationship between the big structure of rock stratum above the return airflow roadway and deformation regularity of its surrounding rock.Starting with the information of ground behavior in field about 3227 fully mechanical top caving testing face , the paper summarized the regularity of ground strata, operating condition of support and deformation of surrounding rock of return airflow roadway . On the basis of analyzing the interaction between support and surrounding rock , the paper put forward "the voussoir beam jointed later" structure model and analyzed its mechanics condition , and analyzed operating characteristic of support and its adaptability ; on the basis of analyzing the special relationship between section pillar of return airflow roadway and its deformation regularity , the paper put forward the mechanics construction model of interaction between the big structure of rock stratum above the return airflow roadway and deformation of its surrounding rock , and suggested how to seting up the section pillar . Through the physical modeling and computer numerical simulations at lab , the paper furtherly certified the strata behavior laws about movement regularity of rock stratum covering the face and deformation regularity of surrounding rock of return airflow roadway and perfected the conclusions about the laws, the simulation's conclusion sustains the conclusion in field . In view of bigger difference of mining speed between the transport passage and return airflow roadway during testing caving of this face , and for analyzing the relationship between this condition and some difference in ground behavior of different observation spot , the paper used simulation analysis at lab to study the law of first breaking of main roof , concluded the macroscopic breaking law of main roof in the two conditions of "rectangle" gob and "trapezoid" gob .
