PSB (Photosynthetic Bacteria), which emerged 2 billion years ago, is the general term for all kinds of bacteria that use light to photosynthesis without oxygen emission, one of the important populations in ecosystem, with high value in basic theoretical research and application. In recent years, Yunnan Plateau Lake became the focus for its comprehensive geological remains of No.3 glacier period, but there is no one who begins to study the distribution of PSB in Yunnan Plateau Lake still now.Yangzonghai Lake and Dianchi Lake are evidently different in geological position, depth and nutrition level. In this dissertation, the studying object is the PSB in these two typical plateau lakes: Yangzonghai Lake (deepwater, oligotrophication) and Dianchi Lake (shallow water, eutrophication). This dissertation consisted of 4 parts:1. Comprehensive analysis of environmental factors of the two objects;2. Numerical distribution and population structure of PNSB of the two lakes3. Application of PNSB in wastewater treatment, decoloration of reactive Red X-3B,zooplankton multiplication, extraction of carotenoid and tropical fish breeding.4. Optimization of culture medium and cultural conditions of complex PNSB.The detailed results and conclusions were as follows:1. Variance of physicochemical factors between Yangzonghai Lake and Dianchi Lake are extremely distinct. Water quality indexes in Dianchi Lake are much higher than that in Yangzonghai Lake. And environmental factors (temperature, SD, TN, TP, BOD and Chl-a) are remarkably different according to the difference of locations and sampling periods in Yangzonghai Lake and the difference of horizontal locations in Dianchi Lake.2. The main factors influencing PNSB distribution in Yangzonghai Lake are horizontal location, vertical location and sampling period. The PNSB concentration in northern part ofYangzonghai Lake is little higher than in middle part, and much higher than in southern part, because of the water temperature promotion in northern part brought by the warm effluent from power station; Appropriate illumination (450~550nm) and relatively lower DO make PNSB distribute chiefly in 11m water layers. In vertical level, the lower DO, the more PNSB concentration, but this difference is not remarkable; PNSB concentration (36.5cells/ml) reach maximum in flood season, 10 times more than in average water season and dry season (6.0cells/rhl and 3.2cells/ml respectively).3. The population of PNSB in Yangzonghai Lake was studied using cluster analysis. Based on 57 features (including morphological and cultural characteristics, substrate utilization capabilities, tolerance to the salinity, pH range for growth, abundance under different illumination and oxygen conditions, pigment absorption spectra), the 20 strains of PNSB isolated from Yangzonghai Lake were classified into 3 groups at the distance of 21, and further experiments of the representative strains (11,13 and 15) of the 3 groups have been done. 71 PNSB strains were isolated and purified from Yangzonghai Lake in 2002 and it is found that the dominant species are Rhodopseudomonas Sp. and Rhodobacter Sp. (59.2% and 36.6% of the total respectively), and Rhodospirillum Sp. also exists (4.2%).4. The main factors influencing PNSB distribution in Dianchi Lake are horizontal location and vertical location. In horizontal level, the more pollution, the higher PNSB concentration; In vertical level, the lower DO, the higher PNSB concentration, just like Yangzonghai Lake. PNSB distribute chiefly in 2m water layers. 37 PNSB strains were isolated and purified from Dianchi Lake in average water season in 2002, among them, the dominant species are Rhodopseudomonas Sp. and Rhodomicrobium Sp. (62.2% and 27.0% of the total respectively) and Rhodospirillum Sp. also exits (10.8%).5. A series of environmental factors (DO, temperature, TN, TP, COD, BOD, Chl-a) cause the remarkable variance of the PNSB concentration between the two lakes and it is obvious that the PNSB concentration in Dianchi Lake (76.9 cells/ml) a...
