The bismetallic complexes were synthesized by the reactions of the bislithium salts of Ind-Si(Me)2-Ind and Ind-CH2CH2-Ind with two equivalents of Ni(PPh3)2Cl2. The catalytic activities of these bismetallic complexes in the presence of CCl3 Br for methyl methacrylatepolymerization were tested.2. The first a-diimine nickel(I) complex having chloro bridge was synthesized by thereaction of [ArN=C(Me)C(Me)=NAr]NiCl2 with 2-etbylindene lithium, and characterized by elementary analysis and single-crystal X-ray analysis.3. The indenyl nickel complexes bearing A-heterocyciic carbenes (l-R-Ind)Ni(NHC)X (R=H. X=Cl, Br; R=Et, X=Cl) were synthesized by the reactions of (Ind)2Ni with the imidazolium salts, and characterized by elementary analysis and single-crystal X-ray-analysis. Their catalytic activities were also investigated as follows:1) Combined with BrCCl3 for polymerization of methyl methacrylate or styrene.2) Combined with NaBPh4 for polymerization of styrene.3) Combined with MAO for dimerization of ethylene to 1-butene.
