Water is the matter base of man living. As the mother river,Weihe river lies in the economic exploitation belt of shaanxi province.Along the river,there are several great and moderate cities such as Baoji,Xi'an?Xianyaag,Weinan and Yangling sample region of advanced agricalture.Water is very inportant to development of the region.There are thirty-two grounderwater well fie d along the Weihe river.In recent years.with the sharp expansion of population and the rapid economic development,Weihe river has severely been polluted.The polluted river water has already affected to the groundwater at differen degree along the river during infiltrating and recharging to it.lt is the unfavorable:;! to the utilization and expoitation of the groundwater well field nearby river.As-the importance of groundwater well field nearby river to cities along river.under the support of "973" item,the thesis studied on the mechanism of the polluted Weihe river affecting to the groundwater.The contents of the paper are as follows:Firstly,deeply investigated the natural and geographic conditions,geology and terrane.hydro-geologic characteristics and hydro-chemical characters in the Weihe river and regions along river;Secondlyjnvestigated the relationships between Weihe river and groundwater and the effect on the Polluted Weihe river to the Groundwater;Thirdly,chosen the representative field-Caotan town in Xi'an(about 500m being apart from riverside),and the tracing pollutants-Cr6+and As,we have done the field test and testing analysis and absorbing experiment in room to simulate the behavior and character of pollutants under the circumstance of "disconnection" between the river and groundwater.Studied and summarized the principle of transport and transformation of Cr6+ and As in the multi-hole medium on condition of the river being disconnected to groundwater.At last,established the 2D numerical model of flow and solute(Cr6+) transport and transformation which is the un-stable flow in vertical direction,and utilized the program-FEMWATER of the software package-GMS of USA to compute the model.After solution of the model,came at the mechanism of transport and transformation of the flow and solute in the multi-hole medium owning different characters of rock and compositions according to the analysis and contrast to the made curve chart.The study can not only provide the theorical evidence for the reasonable utilization and expoitation and prevention and cure of the pollution in the groundvvater well field,but also has the certainly referring and popular meaning to the study on the solute transport and transformation in the region owning resemble condition.
