In this dissertation, the preparation of the polystyrene supported versatile hypervalent iodine reagents and their application in organic synthesis were investigated. Firstly, we prepared poly[4-diacetoxyiodo]styrene and poly{[4-hydroxy(tosyloxy)iodo]-styrene}. Secondly, we made our endeavor to extend the range of useful application of them in organic synthesis: 1) poly [4-diacetoxyiodo] styrene was used as an efficient reagent of synthesis 3,5-disubstituted-thiazolo[2,3-c]-s- triazoles and it was also applied to the synthesis of phenylacetaldehyde from styrene and so on. 2) poly{[4-hydroxy-(tosyloxy)iodo]styrene} was an effective Hofmann rearrangemental reagent, and has been successfully employed in the synthesis of alkylammonium tosylates from a series of primary amides. The conditions were generally mild and yields from good to excellent, surpassing those traditionally obtained. At last, we explored the recollect and reuse of polymer-supported iodine reagents and got good results.
