Abstract-At present municipal sewage treatment plants reduce COD and BOD using activated sludge process mostly.But much excess sludge is produced in the process because of microbe breading.This kind of sludge can condensed poorly and is used for covering,burning and agriculture after parting,stabilization,digestion and dehydration. The toxicant,injurant will do harm to health and safety,can pollute the environment once more,and it is expensive to treat.lt is necessary to study a new process of sludge reduction.Thesis studied the new technology of sludge reduction with ozone- effective composite bacteria, from effect of sludge concentration and ozone dosage on sludge reduction,sludge circumfluence rate and effective composite bacteria on sludge reduction and water quality and the theory of sludge reduction with ozonation.Studies shown that,it was correct theoretically and feasible practically.After ozonation,zooglea became loose ,filosea was broken,the amount of cell was decreased evidently,cytoplasm was dissoluted and the inner framework was destroyed.Sludge concentration and ozone dosage also affected the sludge reduction and there was best value. When S V%=40, O2=20L/h, rate of sludge reduction was high,reaching 67.95% and O3=0.15gO3/gMLSS.The relation of sludge concentration and time wasS=3209.60e-0.1428t, in which,S--sludge concentration,mg/L,e--index constants--time. h.The system of ozone-effective composite bacteria could circulate well. When sludge circumfluence rate was 0.1,sludge was reduced effectively.CODcr went beyond 2nd standard of sewage treatment plant a little in water quality without effective composite bacteria,while O3=0.24gO3/gMLSS.And CODCr could reach 2nd standard of sewage treatment plant in water quality with effective composite bacteria,while O3=0.23gO3/gMLSS. NH3-N and concentration of particles reached lnd standard of sewage treatment plant.There is significance to study new technology of ozone-effective composite bacteria to reduce sludge in theory and practice.lt can supply reference and guide for engineering design.
