The impact on extrusion and mechanical property of three different types of multicomponent PP and PE plastics systems modified and filled with wood flour is studied. Modify PP and PE with different wood flour content will result in different impact on the mechanical and extrusion properties. Modified PP and PE show both similar trends and significantly different characteristics at the same time. The impact of oven-drying of wood flour on extrusion properties is studied. The impact of surface and cladding treatment of wood flour on extrusion properties is also studied.The impact of various process conditions on extrusion and pelletizing is studied, including the change of extrusion speed, die head temperature and screw types. An initial study on the impact of different pressing conditions on the product is carried out. Four multiplex conforming agents are used in the study of modification of multicomponent recycled plasticsr, and comparative study is carried out on the extrusion and pressing processes of the multicomponent plastics systems.The following conclusions are reached:1. Different types of wood flours have different impact on the modified plastics. The fiber form wood flour improves the mechanical property of the plastics system, while other types of wood flour solely function as fillers.2. Comparatively detailed study is done on the surface cladding and drying of wood flours used as fillers for the modification of used PE and PP. The result shows that proper surface cladding and drying of wood flour is good for the extrusion of the multicomponent plastics system and the molding of the product.3. The proprietary technology and formula of PE and PP modified and filled by wood flour is developed independently. Both the formula and the compounding process conditions are different from the foreign ones. The research and development of formula is done in conformity to the domestic commercialization conditions in future.4. Study on the processing performance of used PE and PP modified and filled by high portion (more than 50) wood flour is carried out in the experiment. The impact of various process conditions on the extrusion and processing ofthe wood flour modified plastics is studied and determined <> 5. The conforming agents for compounding recycled plastics are studied. Result shows that different conforming agents have different impact on the compounding of recycled plastics (PE+PP+PVC). On the whole, the larger the quantity of the conforming agents added, the better the compatibility of the compound is.
