According to a project " Study on Selection of Watr Source of Jintan City(Changjiang Rive and Changdang Lake)", this paper studied the pollution characteristic and its contral of Changdang Lake. With the investigation and monitor of Changdang Lake, the pollution characteristic of Changdang Lake was systemicly studied by Component Analytical Method and Relativity Analytical Method, the toxicity of Changdang Lake's water was studied by Comet Assay, and the pollution contral of Changdang Lake was studied on the basis of some advanced experiences of lake management in and abord.The resolution of the study displayed:(l)the Component Analytical Method told that "eutrophication' "organic polution" and "N pollution'Vere the most principal components, their squared loadings were 25.3% 23.9% and 17.3% ,so eutrophication was all-important pollution in Changdang Lake and organic pollution was the second;(2) in Changdang Lake, the relativity of BOD5 and CODMn CODCr and CODMn was marked, the value of R2 were 0.4615 and 0.3838, and the relevant equations were BOD5=0.875+0.596×CODMn and CODCr=4.421+3.831×CODMn;(3)the relativity of algae and TP was marked, the value of R2 was 0.6374, and the relevant equations were algae =12.639+171.639×TP, phosphor was the contral factor of the growth of algaes;(4)the water of Changdang Lake and Yangts River all could arouse DNA damage, their DNA damage would get more serious with the increase of the water, both in the rainless season and in the rainless season the DNA damage of the water of Changdang Lake was more serious than Yangts River;(5)to cortrol the pollution of Changdang Lake some measures should be done: treat the waste water, construct ecological agriculture and ecological fishery, clear away the sediment, restore the ecosystem of the rives and Changdang Lake, construct the ecosystem of Changdang Lake's bank, make some manage meatures (supervise the water, form the manage organization of Changdang Lake, enhance the function of the laws).
