| Through research of influence to performance of industrial glucose production from starch bykey equipment and parameters of major technique control points , the research gives out aoptimized technique which is compatible to Chinese condition and making a big improvement tocurrent industrial production of glucose from starch. The researcher got a perfect result which bothquality and yield of glucose is improved by applying the optimized technique in production ofglucose from starch.The influence of concentration of starch slurry on the glucose production was studied. Thelower the concentration of starch slurry , the higher yield of glucose in production was gotten , butconsumption of energy and water was also higher and also the efficiency of production line waslower. Currently , the most optimal starch slurry concentration base on Chinese condition was 34-35% ( W/W ).The influence of some important parameters in liquefaction phase,such as pH , liquefactiontime and methods of terminating liquefaction reaction on glucose production was also studied. ThepH of liquefaction phase should be going down with advancement of enzyme technology. The mostoptimal pH of liquefaction phase should be 5.6 ± 0.2 based on current Chinese condition. Accordingto facility capacity and requirement from production , producer can adjust liquefaction time byadopting different dosage of α-amylase , the enzyme for liquefaction phase. But one thing must bepaid attention to was that liquefaction reaction can not be either deficient or superfluous. Thus , thejudgment of end of liquefaction phase should be color of dark brown in iodine test.The influence of some important parameters in saccharification phase, such as saccharificationtime , different glucoamylase and methods of judgment of end of saccharification reaction, onglucose production was also researched. The difference between glucoamylase with differentcharacters directly give out different performance of glucose production. The producer of crystaldextrose and high fructose corn syrup should be no doubt adopt glucoamylase blending withpullulanase , even the producer of fermenting glucose syrup should have the same choice whenproduction cost lever is acceptable. Beside the difference of glucoamylase , saccharification timeand methods of judgment of end of saccharification reaction can influence performance of glucoseproduction much also and these are major problems exist in Chinese glucose industry now. Highpressure liquid chromatography ( HPLC ) is the best instrumentality of judgment of end ofsaccharification reaction. When HPLC is not possessed , the combination way of visual observationof ethanol reaction and Fehling test should be adopted as method of judgment of end ofsaccharification reaction.Based on the above results, a optimized technique which was compatible to Chinese conditionis given out base on above researches. The technique is applied in production of glucose and gaveout a perfect result of improvement on both quality of glucose and yield of glucose. In the end ofthis article , direction of research for improving technology of glucose industry in China is indicatedas development of manufacture technology of equipment and technology of enzyme and thenincreasing concentration of starch slurry following the development. |
