Studies On Water Environment Situation In Jiangsu Province And Controlling Measures Concerning Water Pollution

This thesis, enriched with author' s personal experience and by reference to the successful practice both nationally and internationally and advanced studies therefrom on comprehensive control in water environment, conducts research on the pending water-pollution- controlling measures, which need urgently be implemented under Jiangsu' s current economic and social circumstances, by taking into consideration of Jiangsu' s stream range characteristics and current situation of water pollution.While making comments and analysis on natural environment, current social & economic situation, nature of water resource, current situation in water environment as well as source of pollutants in Jiangsu province, the Article poses countermeasures to solve main water environment problems currently existing in Jiangsu Province by way of comprehensively considering both inter-relationship of all pollution-controlling measures and feasibility. As far as the national and international strategies and policies in respect of environment protection are concerned, the Article makes studies on suitable policy guarantee project and management scheme regarding water pollution before drawing a conclusion that improvement in above-mentioned two non-project measures is the most fundamental condition for other possible controlling measures. Based on this, the Article sets forth both the significance and the methods to modify water environment standards and to classify the water-pollution controlling units in combination with personal working experience. Finally, the Article establishes after research the detailed program to solve the striking water environment problems in respect of water quality safety of Jiangsu' s drinkable water source, water scenery along cities' river reach and pollution caused by water conservation projects. The research results out of this Article can contribute ways of thinking and mechanism for reference to both comprehensive control in Jiangsu' s water pollution and the implementation of water-controlling ideal with the principle of continual development. This research results are also of practical meaning for the improvement of Jiangsu' s current water environment.
