On The Discussion Of The Ecological Ethics Problem In The Development Of Western Regions

It is an urgent and difficult subject of the development of western regions of our country how to do ecological construction well. The essence of the eco-crisis is the human moral crisis and cultural crisis, its origin lies in some old values, the behavior and unreasonable social mechanism. To get rid of the eco-crisis and to realize that people develop with the nature in harmony, not merely need involvement of technology and stipulations of legal system, need to use the strength of the ethics to restrain people from treating nature attitude roughly in order to coordinate the relation between people and nature. So people of the western region not only should change their own mode of production and life style and their own values and ethics, but also change the behavior of treating the natural environment rudely and the basic ethical criterion of controlling these behaviors. Ecological ethics points out, the natural ecosystem is an organic whole, people are just a member among them , non- human existence also owns the inherent value with equality and the right for life, ethics should be expanded from the relation between people and people to that of people and nature further. We should respect and care about everything of nature morally . So, during the process of structuring ecological ethics of the west, we should be guided with the theory of the relation between people and nature of Marxism, follow two basic principles of economic and ecological benefits for both sides and environmental justice, change western people's backward mode of production and life style. Meanwhile, We may strengthen the abilities for macroscopic regulation and control of the country, lead people to train ecological ethical consciousness and ecological moral behavior, by policy, legal system and education ,etc., respect for nature, care about the life , safeguard the balance and stability of the ecosystem.
