The support of Three-soft gateway is a complicated technique problem in coal mining system and rock engineering field. The bolt supporting of Three-soft gateway is an importance research direction about it. The Current research couldn't satisfy the demand of the engineering of large quantity. Therefore, the research of bolt supporting in Three-soft gateway had very important theories meaning and value about the engineering. On the study of the past research of many people and the experiment data of Wangcun coal mine, the process about failure and deformation of the Three-soft gateway was researched. The water was an import factor which influence stability of the roadway. The failure and deformation was created by press of coal mining. The degree was accounted with characteristics of the soft rock. The failure and deformation started at the capes of the roadway and then the area of paste area expanded outwardly. Based on the analysis, The keys of the support were to enhancing the rock strength and controlling the capes. It also prevented the function of water which round the rock. According to the research, three principles about the supporting of three-soft gateway were: Enhance the rock strength and reinforce the capes and enhance the water tightness. The "T-S-G" bolt supporting design method that matched the supporting principles and the mechanism of bolt supporting was put forward. A supporting design project of Wangcun coal mine was created put into practice. The result was well. It proved the accuracy and the possibility.
