Chitosan has a high metal chelating ability due to its amino groups and hydroxy groups. It can effectively interact not only metal ions but also nonmetals materials, so it be used widely. Recently, there are some reports of its applications in analytical chemistry. The thesis reported the synthesis method of organotin (triphenyltin and tributyltin) molecular imprinted polymers of cross-linking chitosan, and its application in organotin separation and analysis. And also reported a chitosan modified glassy carbon electrode which was used in inorganic tin determination. The main contents of this thesis as follows:1. The determination of organotin by anodic stripping voltammetry was studied. The results show that a glassy carbon electrode with mercury film are presented for the determination of organotin in the solution of 0.05molL"' CF^COOH-CHsCOONa, and it has higher sensitivity for organotin determination.2. The organotin (triphenyltin and tributyltin) molecular imprinted polymers of cross-linking chitosan, which can complete match with organotin in space structure and combine locus were synthesized, using chitosan as functional monomer and organotin as imprited molecular. This molecular imprited method has special identity in space and high-activity specificity to organotin. They can be applied for the separation and determination of organotin in water sampers with fairly satisfactory results.3. The surface configurations and adsorption abilities of molecular imprinted polymers were characterizede by IR spectrum ^ scanning electronic microscope and EDX. The results show that organotin molecular imprited polymers of cross-linking chitosan have an excellent selective and adsorption capacity for organotin.4. Chitosan was used to modify the glass carbon electrode surface by the method of covalent-bond reaction, and studied the determination condition for tin ion by anodic stripping voltammetry. The results showed that its sensitivity for tin ion is about 10 times greater than that of an unmodified glass carbon electrode. Themodified electrode has been applied to the determination of tin in cans food, and the results obtained were satisfactory .
