This paper had carried on a comprehensive investigation into experiment conditions for emulsion and microemulsion method for preparation of nanometer ZnS, an elaborated discussion about factors which exerted influences on the properties and granularity of ZnS nanoparticles, and a granularity analysis and surface morphology characteristics of the nanometer ZnS samples, and a comparison of luminescence properties. According to the results of experiment, relevant illumination was put forward to explain the property differences between the samples obtained by the two methods. It can give the important reference value and theory direction to batch production.Taking toluene/ ST-80/water system and a series of experiments had been conducted. On the basis of that, favorable reaction conditions were fixed, and influencing factors, those were different conditions including sulphur source, heating means, and cryodesiccation means etc., had been ranked. The results indicated that cryodesiccation means suppressed the agglomeration of ZnS particles, and so it was beneficial to getting fine particles with well-distributed granularity, and the results also showed that microwave heating means had the advantage of high velocity and no temperature gradient. It was after many probing trials that the final experiment program was set: ZnCl2 and thiacetamide (TAA) were reactants and reaction conditions included microwave heating means and cryodesiccation means. The properties of ZnS particles prepared by the experiment were relatively ideal.Emulsion method had received more and more attention for the last decade, and its application has become popular, because it enabled easy operation and made controlling of size of particles possible with simple experimental apparatus. In the field of preparation of nanometer particles, it had its own unique advantages. The paper firstly dealed with the emulsion-forming conditions, made efforts to determine the suitable surfactant and cosurfactant, and then performs experiments of quantity of dissolved water and experiments on relations between conductivity and quantity of dissolved water, finally established the emulsion system for preparation of nanometer ZnS particles, and got samples with different sulphur sources. The granularity and surface morphology characteristics of the ZnS nanoparticles prepared by emulsion and microemulsion method were presented by AFM. The crystallographic forms of the particles were tested by X-diffraction, and the results were in accordance with the outcome fromAFM. Thermodynamics parameters, such as thermodynamics stability, activation energy, etc., were measured by TG - DTA. Luminescence property of the products were characterized by ultraviolet absorption and fluorescence spectrum, which showed evident characteristics of nanoparticles for there were blue shift in the spectrums. Due to the excellent capabilities of optics and electrics and photoelectric, the productions of we prepared can be used to many fields。...
