With the rapid development of highway transportation in our country day by day, the material requirements to the super-highway bitumen pavement has become more and more strict, At the same time, the pollution caused by waste-PE in packing makes the retrieve and re-utilization of waste-PE in packing more urgent and pressing.By making use of waste-PE in packing to modify the asphalt, the project solves the problem of the white pollution caused by waste-PE in packing and the problem that the function of super-highway can' t satisfy the need of practice, so the project has both social and economic effectiveness.By referencing the research both abroad and at home, the paper employs the method of combining theory and experiment, learns the present technology in modifying asphalt and in the retrieve of waste-PE in packing, and studies the basic character of raw asphalt. And the paper conducts the modifying experiment to asphalt by making use of the waste-PE in packing. By different proportion of material, the raw asphalt is modified, and the performance of both raw asphalt and blended asphalt is improved. By the modification, the softening point is greatly increased, while the penetration and the extensive ability is reduced, at the same time, the performance in low temperature of blended asphalt is improved. The paper analyzes the result of the experiment, further researches the mechanism of waste-PE's modifying asphalt, and concludes the structure of PE and its performance, and that the net structure formed by modified raw asphalt and PE is the fundamental cause of theimprovement in the performance of asphalt.
