The content of this paper is to synthesize block copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, and water-soluble polymeric ultraviolet absorbers with polyethylene oxide, initiated by the Metalloporphyrin complex. The reaction has the character of living polymerization and immortal polymerization. The Metalloporphyrin complex system can be obtained by the reaction of the 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphine(TPPH2) and diethylaluminum chloride(Et2AlCl).The TPPH2 is synthesized by pyrrole and benzaldehyde in the circumfluence temperature of DMF, catalyzed by AlCl3.The reaction is influenced by reactant concentration, catalyzer concentration and reaction time. TPPH2 is validated. The paper designed four EO-PO-EO surfactants (A1, A2, A3, A4) .The weight percent ofEO is 81%, 65.2%, 42.5%和22%,respectively.The results ofthe experiments indicate that the number-average molecular weight increased linearly with monomer conversion, which is decided by the mole ratio of monomer and initiator. The molecular weight distribution of the polymer is very narrow. Melting point, DSC ,the value of HLB, surface tension, CMC et al of block copolymer are tested. The paper introduces the synthesise of ethylene oxide and 2-hydroxy -4-methoxybenzophenone catalyzed by metalloporphyrin complex system. The product's ultraviolet absorbency is measured, and compared with UV-9. The reaction process of immortal polymerization is analyzed.
