In the field of forming processes for composite materials, filament winding forming process is widely used because of its good performance.The filament winding equipment is the special equipment for the production made of composite materials. Its design and production is a new field of the mechanic manufacture. Because of diversity and complexity of productions, and the different requirements about linetype precision and production quality in different fields, the filament winding equipment has a low degree in production currency, production standard, production series.This paper takes Pro/Engineer as the application development platform, and wants to set up an intelligent CAD system to realize the filament winding equipment can be designed automatically. The main tasks undertaken in the papers are as follows:1. Set up 3D graphics library of the filament winding equipmentSet up 3D model of the filament winding equipment's parts, and realize the part of parameter design and assemble.2. Set up the case library3. The searches technology of the caseSet up a high efficiency searches way to improve CBR's efficiency.
