To protect the environment against pollution is one of the basic state policies of countries all over the world. But there is no perfect and comprehensive treatment to multitudinous pollution up to now. To this end, the developmental research and utilization of corresponding novel method and new-type adsorbent, is becoming one of the most important questions for discussion. On the basis of the characteristics of manganese element and natural manganic ore, several modification methods against natural manganic ore have been studied in this thesis, which aiming at raising its interface adsorption performance of natural manganic ore, and increasing its environmental property. The modified manganese's adsorption properties towards several organic-dye molecules in analogous wastewater has also been investigated. Methyl orange is taken as the main analogous pollution in all experiments. While the modification effect is evaluated by determination of the amount of methyl orange left in solution, by means of static adsorption experiment. The main research content and conclusions that drawn from the test result were as followed:(1) The modified method with sulphuric acid was studied, together with the corresponding influence factors. Results showjhat, the interface adsorption of natural manganic ore can be improved remarkably by means of the immerse action of sulphuric acid. The removed percentage of the modified manganic ore against methyl orange was enhanced, accompanied by the increase of sulphuric acid concentration; Further improvement on the interface adsorption capability can be made by means of the oxidization of potassium permanganate that based on the immerse action of sulphuric acid. Experiment also finds that, the removed percentage of the modified manganic ore against methyl orange is also raised gradually with the increment of the quantity of potassium permanganate added, under given conditions of sulphuric acid concentration.(2) Based on the above experiment, the modified method with hydrazine hydrate was studied as one key point of the thesis. Results show that the activation renovation of naturalmanganic ore can improve its adsorption capability apparently, exploiting thedeoxidization dissolution of hydrazine hydrate and the oxidation deposition of potassium permanganate. Under the given experimental conditions, the removed percentage of methyl orange got with the increase of the dosage of hydrazine hydrate and potassiumpermanganate, and the reaction temperature that gone up as well. The removed percentage of methyl orange was up to 98.1%.(3) Another approach to improve the interface adsorption capability of natural manganic ore has been proposed, which making use of the complexing action and deoxidization dissolution of oxalic acid, together with the oxidation deposition of potassium permanganate. Experiment finds that only in the acid medium can oxalic acid take effect on the modification. And the corresponding removed percentage of methyl orange by modified manganic ore has a positive correlativity with sulphuric acid concentration, the quantity of oxalic acid added, the reaction temperature and time, and the quantity of potassium permanganate added. The removed percentage of menthyl orange was up to 89.9%.(4) The complexing action and dissolution of citric acid and the oxidation deposition of potassium permanganate additional did a lot to find one effective way to improve the interface adsorption of natural manganic ore. While the concentration of sulphuric acid produced hardly no effect on the modification. The removed percentage of methyl orange has a positive correlativity with the quantity of citric acid added, the reaction temperature, and the quantity of potassium permanganate added under the given experiment condition.(5) Superficial characterizations of the resulting modified manganic ore above were carried out by means of such testing instrument as XRD, TEM, IR and BET, etc. Results show that all the resulting modified manganic ores contain a small amount of fresh...
