The stackpile is a kind of loose dump of sock and soil, existing serious erosion of sock and soil, whose safety and stablility interferes in economic interest and social interest on mine. This article researched the erosion characteristics of sock and soil on stackpile and effect of soil and water conservation during the restoration of vegetion, by means of field survey, experter visition and indoor experiment and ways of comparison,classification,replacement between time and space,return of SAS etc. Main contents as following: (1)There exists essence distinction between erosion of sock and soil on stackpile and triditional soil erosion, the author thinks the intention of erosion of sock and soil has two sides: one is that object of erosion is mixture of sock and soil, that is, the micro-change of composition of soil surface is complexer; another is that the means and degree of erosion is different from original geomorphy. Showing three respects in detail: ①form conditions of erosion; ②forms and characteristics of erosion; ③erosion cause. (2)Vegetation is a economic effective control of soil and water conservation. Based on the observation to roots profile and analysis on soil samples about Robinia pesudoacacia and caragana korshinskii and herb, the results show that: ①Hair roots distribution of arbor and shrub and herb is different from that of original geomorphy, below surface about 10cm, hair roots distribution follows exponential function, ruturn equations being successively: y刺槐=11.961x-0.8213(R2=0.8141);y柠条=48.788x-1.9608(R2=0.8821);y草类=13.594x-0.3295(R2=0.9569)。The order of dry soil layer: Robinia pesudoacacia>herb>caragana korshinskii ②Different soil whose restored time is different,its physical properties are distinct,such as bulk density,total porosity,copillary porosity,noncopillary porosity and field capacity . ③Forest stand is different, water retaining capadity is different. Effective water retaining rate of dry branches and leaves of herb is most large which is 2.5 times than its dry weight; below Robinia pesudoacacia, that of the half-decomposition materials is 1.5 times than its dry weight, that of dry branches and leaves is 1.5 times than that of its half-decomposition; water retaining capadity of dry branches and leaves of broad-leaved tree is larger than that of softwood tree. ④Estabishing respectively line return model: soil anti-erosibility index---water-stable aggregate of > 0.25mm and organic material and density of hair roots of ≤1 ㎜.
