As the contradiction of the energy exhaust's dramatic increment in the world and the scarcer total energy resources becoming spiculate, traditional energy technology renovations are being focused. And catalytic combustion, as a new technology of traditional energy application, has been noticed by academic and industrial teems for a long time. As far as catalytic combustion of gas fuel is concerned, there are two important items should be taken into account. The first one is the chemical mechanism of catalytic combustion, which includes both the chemical activity of catalyst during the course of combustion and all combustion processes of mixtures'chemical reactions. The second one is the thermodynamic characteristics of catalytic combustion, which includes both heat transfer aspects and mass transfer aspects. My study emphases is focused on the effects of heat and mass transfer on catalytic combustion, especially the influences of monolith's structure on catalytic combustion. And on the basis of that, we can induce to more deeply analysis of the relation of both two parts. Subsequently, on the base of this study, by properly controlling heat and mass transfer processes of the catalytic combustion it is possible to make a considerable improvement in combustion technology, which can lead us to keep the catalytic combustion in an more efficient way, which means not only the combustion can be done more completely, but also the poisonous gases, such as CO and NOx, in the exhaust gas can be restrained more efficiently. From this point, I should clear up my study based both on theoretical discussion and experimental study. To go in for theoretical discussion, it is helpful for clarifying so many ingredients'relationships as the whole mathematical model of catalytic combustion is established. To go in for experimental study, it is concrete for providing so many experimental data to prove the correctness of our comprehension about...
