So, nano-realgar has been in the highlight. In the chapter, studies related to realgar were summarized. The main contents are as follows: the development prospect of the nanometer traditional Chinese medicine and problem urgently to be solved at present; application in the medical field of realgar and the studying of antitumor activity of realgar; the methods prepared of the nano-realgar and existing problems at present; the nucleic acid cuts the research survey and research of cutting mechanism of the reagent. Chapter 2: As raw materials with the mineral realgar, nano-realgar was prepared by chemical precipitating method. The macromolecule polymer surfactants were considered as a candidate to obtain the nano-realgar with high stability, water-solubility and biocompatibility. Chemical compositions of the nano-realgar was charactered by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), its diameter and shape were charactered by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Ectrophoresis implied nano-realgar has negative electric charges.ζelectric potential was an important sign of nanoparticle stability. Via ζelectric potential, we found that near pH 6.0 in different surfactants (CMC, PVP) nano-realgar were the best stable. IR may suggested interactions of nano-realgar and macromolecule polymers. Chapter 3:The nano-realgar displayed antitumor activity, and the mechanism was studies with spectroscopic analysis and gel electrophoresis. These results showed that DNA is one of the target molecules of nano-realgar. The selectively cutting of DNA molecules was observed with gel electrophoresis indicating that DNA was cleaved at specific restriction sites by nano-realgar. By contrast, the bulk realgar didn't have obvious reaction with DNA at the same condition. But the mechanism of interaction of nano-realgar and DNA is not clear, for its'mechanism need a series of biochemical and medical knowledge. Chapter 4:Realgar has been a traditional medicine in China for more than 1500 years. The nano-realgar displayed antitumor activity. In recent years, realgar has the antitumor activity of As4S4 via the induction of apoptosis of cancer cells. The realgar in nanometer size has attracted a great deal of attention for their improved medicine utility, and reduced toxicity. So, nano-realgar has been in the highlight.Realgar and nano-realgar with KB tumor's cell were studied by SRB method. The results suggested the drug effects of nano-realgar improved normal realgar by 12. 5times. Chapter 5: In ancient times, the realgar was used as antibiotic substance and insecticide in China. The realgar and nano-realgar were studied with E.coli.and S.Aureus. We found that nano-realgar has obvious antibiotic effect to S.Aureus, but it has no effect to E.coli, the nano-realgar realgar diplayed better drug effects than normal realgar.
