The spiral up-flow reactor is a new stand pattern reaction technique of wastewater treatment, which has a mechanical leading flow system. This system has optimized the bio-treatment unit in the way of reaction technology. During the running of examination, it has get good efficiency of synchronously removing nitrogen and phosphorus and has strong stability. According to the former study and characteristic of SUFR system, the dissertation carried out a test analysis on the denitrifying phosphorus-uptake under anoxic condition and simultaneous nitrification-denitrification(SND)under aerobic condition. So, in this dissertation, the followings were studied: (1) Studying on the phenomena of denitrifying phosphorus removal in the anoxic reactor and the quantitative relationships among the each parameter; (2) The effect of influent COD concentration, nitrate and DO concentration on the denitrifying phosphorus removal; (3) Studying on the phenomena of simultaneous nitrification-denitrification in the aerobic reactor and the factors of its influencing:for example, DO concentration, the characteristic of granular sludge and load of sludge; (4) According to the study results of the forward parts, author made a summary about the metabolism of denitrifying phosphorus removal and simultaneous nitrification-denitrification, in addition, a series of dynamical models of the SUFR system were also established respectively. According to the above study result, the conclusion was as follows:1) The SUFR system could occur obvious phenomena of denitrifying phosphorus-uptake in anoxic reactor, and there were a series of quantitative relationships among the running parameters. The proportion of denitrifying phosphorus accumulating organisms to phosphorus removal organisms was around 68.9%, and the denitrifying phosphorus accumulating organisms contributed about 37.5% of the denitrification reaction when making use of endogenous PHB;2) The SUFR system could occur obvious phenomena of simultaneous nitrification-denitrification in aerobic reactor. The proportion of SND nitrogen removal to total denitrifying nitrogen removal was between 15.02% and 22.63%, and the SND phenomena only occurred in the bottom of aerobic reactor instead of the top;3) The favorable dissolved oxygen(DO)in the downside of the aerobic reactor was remained as 0.5~1.0 mg/L, in the middle and upside was 3.0~3.5mg/L. When the DO was in the range of 3.0~3.5mg/L, the SUFR system could obtain favorable nitrification-denitrification and high removal efficiency of SND. The efficiency of TN in SUFR system was above 84%. This research acquired the values of important parameters that could be used in actual design and control, provided support for the engineering utilization of the SUFR in municipal wastewater treatment.
