The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODP) to propene is one important subject in natural gas, oil field gas and refinery gas application area. Due to the high reactivity of product propene, the propene usually converts to COX in high temperature. So the selectivity to propene is very low. Therefore, how to improve the selectivity to propene is one of key issues in ODP.In this dissertation, a series of La-V-O/TiO2 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method. The effect of loading amount, loading order and loading ratio on catalysts activity was investigated and the catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, H2-TPR, FT-IR, XPS, in situ electrical conductivity and TG techniques. The results show that the optimized catalyst with 15% conversion of propane and 36% C3H6 selectivity at 350℃ is 10La-V-O/TiO2 catalyst with impregnation method. From the results of H2-TPR, FT-IR, XPS, in situ electrical conductivity measurements and OPD by TiO2 photocatalyst, the active oxygen species of La-V-O/TiO2 catalysts in OPD was investigated. Finally, from the study of La-V-O/clay, we found that the La-V-O/clay catalysts with high C3H6 selectivity.
