Energy sources industry, material industry, information industry are the mainstay of the world economy in the 21st century. Plastics is the promising streamlined material inside the material industry and it perform the more and more important function in modern developments in our country with its special use and function. The paper illustrates the application of scanning electron microscope and X-ray microanalysis and wide angle X-ray diffractometer in polymer material. We research into morphology and structures of the polymer and polymer blends modified by nano-filling with the apparatuses. The paper has four sections and the main results are as following: In section.1: the exordium. At first, this paper describes the trends of investigates the structures of polymer and polymer developments. Importance of recent development of polymer blends and investigating in aggregating structures of polymer blends are illustrated; secondly, we describe the nano-material and the actuality of nano-composites, the qualitative and quantitative X-ray energy dispersive spectroscope microanalysis of the elements of every phase of polymer blends, and the basal principles of WAXD; in addition, we discuss the use of SEM and WAXD. In section.2: we modified PP with montmorillonite (MMT), nano-alumina (nano-Al2O3) and nano-calcium carbonate (nano-CaCO3). Study the crystal structure and the mechanical properties of PP nano-composites, by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and wide angle X-ray diffraction. The relation between the structures and properties of polymer blends is included. Research results indicated that inorganic nano-particles improve mechanical properties of PP. In section.3: The PVC/PS blends are modified by MMT, and we study the phase structures of PVC/PS blends by EDS and WAXD. This result showed that acquired X-ray maps of element by EDS display precisely ascription of phase of polymer blend and acquired image is more readability, and the compatibility of PVC/PS is improved because of addition of extender MMT.
