The studies on the preparation and properties of fullerene-based solid film had been an active topic in the fullerene chemistry. So it is important for us to look for better fabrication method for solid films based on fullerenes and study their optical, electrical and catalytical properties. These may give great influenece on exploring new materials based on fullerenes and play a significant role in developing the fullerene chemistry. The thesis is focused on seeking after the production of the new fullerene-based multiplex film and their photochemistry and electrochemistry catalysis. We used the method named "from bottom to top"to make the fullerene nanostructure and obtained fullerene(C70 and C60) solid film by different ways. We payed attention to the morphology and microstructure of both original solid film and multiplex film. We tried to testify that these multiplex films which modified by Pt and Ag are effective to both catalyze methanol oxidation and reduction of hydrogen peroxide. 1. Films of C70 clusters were electrophoretically deposited on optically transparent electrode surfaces, which were characterized by SEM and UV-vis and were proved to be porous with high-surface-area. The absorption spectrum of it was different with original C70. The electrode modified by Pt (Pt/C70/OTE) had evident effect on catalyzing methanol oxidation. C60 was proved less effective than C70 in the same reaction. 2. Films of C70 clusters were prepared by casting the mixed solution (toluene/acetonitrile=1:9 ) of C70 on OTE directly. It was characterized by TEM,SEM and UV-vis, too. Experiments showed that C60 was less effective than C70 in catalyzing methanol oxidation just as above. 3. Considering the porous and high-surface-area of C70 solid films, they were used as a great support to produce electrodes modified by Pt and Ag. These electrodes seemed to be work in catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, especially the Ag/C70/OTE. These may open an new window to biology sensor research.
